More
about the author:
In addition to her
books, Rosalind Welcher is widely known as the creator of the Panda
Prints greeting cards, some of which are in the print collection of
the Metropolitan Museum of Art. A widely quoted excerpt from one of
her series on cats goes: "No one can have experienced to the fullest
the true sense of achievement and satisfaction who has never pursued
and successfully caught his tail."
About
West Hill Press
In a culture dominated by giant publishers, television networks and
movie studios, all owned by even larger conglomerates each devoted exclusively
to the bottom line, we at West Hill Press are devoted to bringing fresh,
sprightly and original thinking to our products, and the bottom line
be damned.
Not that we don't make money. Rosalind Welcher's books, cartoons and
videotape have always enjoyed a wide readership and now the internet
opens them to a much wider circle of readers. In the coming weeks and
months the modest selection shown here will more than double as we delve
into the realm of children's fantasies, the quirky story of a talking
cat, the joys and problems of seniors growing older, and a felines
view of the battle between the sexes and its related social problems.
We urge you, gentle reader, to keep an eye on this site. It will entertain
you, it will amuse you, and it may even make you think.
Our current titles are: "The
Split Level Child," "The Runaway Angel," "The Magic
Top," Social Insecurities, "Dear Tabby," I Want To Be
Somebody's Cat," My Brother Says There's a Monster Living in Our
Toilet," and "When Nino Flew."
